A resposta é que a mente dividida, percebendo  por meio de um sujeito percebendo objetos, não pode perceber sua própria "totalidade" como objeto.

Não há necessidade de perceber nossa 'totalidade', e é sempre impossível fazê-lo, pois não há 'coisa' aqui para perceber e nenhuma 'coisa' a ser percebida.

Qualquer tentativa de entender o que é percepção - e é portanto irreconhecível - proíbe a apercepção de o-que-somos. Essa apercepção não é uma função da mente dividida. Só pode ser uma apercepção imediata liberada por algum estímulo sensorial - auditivo, visual, tátil ou de origem irreconhecível.

O obstáculo supremo a essa apercepção, em nosso contexto de consciência espaço-temporal, reside em atribuir subjetividade a objetos fenomenais e objetividade ao que é subjetivo.

A mente não pode ser alcançada pela mente, como afirmou Huang Po. A tentativa é em si um obstáculo. Com-ciência  é não algo do qual nós  possamos estar-cientes .

Saber disto, entender isto, não é com-ciência da Com-ciência. Com-ciência não é um espécie de conhecimento. Todo conhecimento é conceitual, toda conceitualidade é inerente ao continuum espaço-tempo. Existe uma solução de continuidade entre conhecimento e Com-ciência.

Se alguém disser que a apreensão auditiva pode revelá-la - isso pode ser uma indicação do que está implicado, mas certamente não no sentido de ouvir deliberadamente a música - nem de olhar deliberadamente para qualquer objeto, tocar qualquer "coisa", ou apreendendo qualquer pensamento.

Por que isso é assim? Porque a mente dividida deve estar em suspensão e 'nós' devemos estar ausentes para Com-ciência estar presente.

The answer is that split-mind, cognising by means of a subject cognising objects, cannot cognise its own 'wholeness' as its object.

There is no need to cognise our 'wholeness', and it is forever impossible to do so, for there is no 'thing' here to cognise and no 'thing' there to be cognised.

Any attempt to cognise what is cognising — and is thereby incognisable — forbids apperception of what-we-are. Such apperception is not a function of split-mind. It can only be an im-mediate apperception released by some sensorial stimulus — auditory, visual, tactile, or of an unrecognisable origin.

The supreme obstacle to such apperception, in our space-time context of consciousness, lies in attributing subjectivity to phenomenal objects, and objectivity to what is subjective.

Mind cannot be reached by mind, as Huang Po stated. The attempt is itself an obstacle. Awareness is no thing of which we  can be aware.

Knowing this, understanding this, is not awareness of Awareness. Awareness is no kind of knowledge. All knowledge is conceptual, all conceptuality inheres in the space-time continuum. There is a solution of continuity between knowledge and Awareness.

If one were to say that auditory apprehension might reveal it — such might be an indication of what is implied, but quite certainly not in the sense of deliberately listening to music — nor of deliberately looking at any object, touching any 'thing', or seizing any thought.

Why is that so? Because split-mind must be in abeyance, and 'we' must be absent for Awareness to be present.
